Ideal for use with timber fasteners when there is access to the rear of the substrate to attach a nut for extended holding power. Engineer bolts have a hexagonal head and depending on the length and diameter will have a plain shank between the base of the head and where the thread begins for use with a nut or in a tapped hole.
